“Theme: Birds and Gardens of Cape Town. Culture, History and Nature.
South Africa is a fantastic country for bird watching and is home to 8% of the world’s bird species. More than 610 species of birds have been recorded in Cape Town. Sixty of South Africa’s 86 endemic birds are found here in the Western Cape Province.
Due to our diverse range of unique vegetation, some birds such as the Cape Sugarbird, the Orange-breasted Sunbird, Victorin’s Warbler, Protea Seedeater, Black Harrier, and the Forest Canary can be found only in the Western Cape province. Another bird to look out for is South Africa’s national bird, the beautiful Blue Crane which is our national bird and an endangered species.
During this tour we will visit a special bird watching destination Rondevlei and a spectacular garden, Kirstenbosch.
Going Slowly is not about a mode of transport. It is a way to spend valuable time well and to taste, smell, explore and listen. During this tour, we will tour at relaxed pace, with time to time to stop and enjoy each place.”
