Experience the best of both. Start your day with the thrill of a Shark cage dive and end off watching the magnificent whales in False Bay.
We will fetch you from your hotel bright and early and take you to the Apex Shark Centre at the boardwalk centre in Simon’s Town. Your first trip of the day will commence with a 3-4 hour shark trip leaving the Simon’s Town harbour between 7- 8:30am. On your return you can enjoy shopping in historic Simon’s Town or have a bite to eat while delighting in the views of the harbour and surrounds (for your own account). The whale trip will then depart at 2:00pm and return between 4:00 – 4:30pm.
Shark dive trip
Experience a bucket list trip focused on seeing the mighty, large predators of the area. The bronze whaler shark is sure to impress you with its sheer size and grace as it slowly swims past the shark cage. 7gill sharks are also known to visit the boat on occasion. You may also witness other marine life such as common dolphins, whales and an array of sea birds. Should the weather permit, you will experience Africa’s largest island-based seal colony, Seal Island with over 65 000 Cape fur seals.
Whale Trip
The oceans off the southern tip of Africa offer some of the most exhilarating whale watching in the world. The area is famous for regular sightings of Southern Right Whales, Humpback whales and Brydes Whales. With at least 37 different species of dolphins and whales calling these waters home, you are sure to enjoy a variety of different marine species! The whale watching trip gives you an opportunity to marvel at the size and grace of these beautiful mammals.

How to avoid sea-sickness
Avoid any alcohol the evening before your trip, or at least drink with moderation. Alcohol and hangovers are a near guarantee for sea-sickness.
Take an anti-motion sickness tablet the evening before your trip, and another one an hour before boarding the boat (these are available at any pharmacy without prescription – we recommend Dramamine or Stugeron).
