Cape Town’s Iconic Whale and Wine Tour

Cape Town

Activity Description

Spend the day exploring what makes Cape Town famous!

Your day begins with a 9:15 pick-up from your hotel for your transfer to Simon’s Town Harbour where you will be greeted by the passionate Whale team. The 2 ½ hour whale trip departs into False Bay which boasts over 37 different species of Whales and dolphin. This trip offers a unique opportunity to come close to these majestic creatures who will enthrall you with their sheer size and magnificence. Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whale sightings are spectacular, and even more so within the backdrop of beautiful False Bay. This leg of the tour is on a scheduled departure.
On your return to the harbour, your guide will be waiting to whisk you off on your private wine tour. Immerse yourself in the history of the Groot Contstantia wine farm which was established in 1685. Enjoy a guided Cellar Tour, wine tasting and a souvenir branded wine glass as well as access to the Manor House museum. The two restaurants on the property are sure to tick your culinary boxes and you can enjoy a delicious lunch amongst the vines, for your account.
The Constantia Glen Winery can be included in the tour if time permits. After your day adventure, you will be transferred back to your hotel, with memories to last a lifetime.

No children under 8 years of age. Children are prone to seasickness as are adults, however the effect of seasickness on children is much more pronounced with dehydration being a factor. Children also have a lower threshold for pain and discomfort.
Times are subject to confirmation the day before.
How to avoid sea-sickness
Avoid any alcohol the evening before your trip, or at least drink with moderation. Alcohol and hangovers are a near guarantee for sea-sickness.
Take an anti-motion sickness tablet the evening before your trip, and another one an hour before boarding the boat (these are available at any pharmacy without prescription – we recommend Dramamine or Stugeron).
