This 2 hour private engagement carriage trail includes a bottle of champagne and light snacks. And don’t worry, we can keep a secret! Enjoy the historic Vrede en Lust Wine Estate, nestled in the foothills of the Simonsberg in South Africa’s most celebrated Franschhoek wine valley. A unique way to explore the area with a gentle pace allowing you to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

The law prohibits the sale of alcohol to a minor (anyone under the age of 18 years). It is not prohibited for minors to buy, attempt to buy or consume alcohol.

Please be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your time slot begins to ensure your indemnity is completed and you receive the safety briefing.

Any riders arriving late will forfeit time out of their booking. If you would like to bring your friends or family along for the trial please send us an email to arrange. For larger parties, please contact us so we can accommodate your needs. Strictly no alcohol for persons under the age of 18. This service is weather dependent. All of our trails are led by experienced guides, ensuring a safe and memorable experience. We are conscious about the environment, we respect nature and adhere to strict operating guidelines to protect the amazing space we operate in.

The Horse Drawn Carriage is a great option for persons over 100kg, but we do need to be notified in advance to ensure there is space on our carriage.

Participants will not be allowed to take part in any activity if any of the following are not adhered to:
