One of Panthera Africa’s main purposes is to be an educational platform where we create awareness about the conditions big cats face in captivity, and how animal welfare and enrichment plays a vital role in giving them the best captive life possible. We are a true sanctuary where no cub petting, breeding or trading takes place.
On our educational visits you have the chance of capturing photographs of the big cats in their beautiful Natural homes, and get to know about their unique stories, in addition to the important facts about the species and their different situations. We strongly believe in the importance of educating you about animal welfare and conservation, so together with a staff member you will be taken for a lovely walk whilst admiring the beautiful cats.
We ask you kindly to arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit.
We look forward to sharing our dream with you, and to introducing you to our four legged friends!

Tolle Fuhrung. Hochinteressant und auch sehr traurig, wozu Menschen fahig sind. Ein sehr wichtiges Projekt. - Tanja
Panthera was an excellent first place to tour prior to visiting the game reserves. I loved how they shared their mission and how the wild cats should be treated, not with human interaction. Years ago, I did a "walk with lions" excursion and I was told blatant lies as how the lions got there. Now I know differently about the breeding and poaching practices for humans to capitalize on these spectacular animals. Thank you Panthera for the education and bringing this problem of abuse to the forefront of the public's mind. Well done! - Jennifer
Came to Panthera Africa and was blown away by how those beautiful animals were cared for. The love and care which the founders and staff give them are beyond words and you can certainly tell with how relaxed all the cats were. The world needs more sanctuaries like this for animals in need. All money raised from ticket sales goes towards looking after the animals. - Mr
Awsome - Rodolfo
Great place, great people, great vision, great animals. Being educated on how big cats are treated in our country is harrowing but seeing the good work that is being done here makes you optimistic for the future. Keep up the great work! - Estian
