Family Combo Panthera Africa Educational Visit

Stanford, Western Cape

Activity Description

One of Panthera Africa’s main purposes is to be an educational platform where we create awareness about the conditions big cats face in captivity, and how animal welfare and enrichment plays a vital role in giving them the best captive life possible. We are a true sanctuary where no cub petting, breeding or trading takes place.

On our educational visits you have the chance of capturing photographs of the big cats in their beautiful Natural homes, and get to know about their unique stories, in addition to the important facts about the species and their different situations. We strongly believe in the importance of educating you about animal welfare and conservation, so together with a staff member you will be taken for a lovely walk whilst admiring the beautiful cats.

We ask you kindly to arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit.

We look forward to sharing our dream with you, and to introducing you to our four legged friends!

Online booking system closes 24 hours in advance. Please call +27 (0)71 182 8368 to inquire about possible openings on short notice.

Customer Reviews

Fantastic experience, would highly recommend it! - Michael

We had our grandchildren with us for an outing and an outing it was. They thoroughly enjoyed it and found it entertaining and educational at the same time. Our guide was amazing, and she came across as extremely passionate about what is being done at this Panthera. Thank you for having us and we are wishing everything of the best and success with this project Stan and Adri Wallace - Doug

Visiting Panthera was an incredible experience, very sad but also heartwarming to see how genuinely these animals are loved and mostly respected. The facility is amazing and great care has been taken to keep the cats happy and healthy. Katinka was warm, kind, knowledgeable and genuine. Our family enjoyed it very much and will highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! - Charlene

Panthera is well worth visiting. While not large, they do an amazing job of educating you about the history of the animals that live there and how they care for them. They were incredibly flexible about our booking (since the forecast was rainy). The animals are well cared for and our guide was very knowledgeable. A good glimpse into how these cats were exploited prior to coming to live at Panthera. - Natalie

What a great experience and one that I have highly recommended to my friends. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and interactive, a super day out. - Anita
