A 35-minute drive north along the R27 or West Coast road as it’s more commonly known, is all it takes for you to be whisked from the Cape Town city centre to the closest skydiving drop zone to South Africa’s tourism capital, boasting one of the best views in the world from altitude.
On the way up in the aircraft to your tandem skydive, the view is breathtaking. To the south, the city bowl lies sandwiched between towering Table Mountain and bustling Table Bay harbour. Further south, and to the far side of the mountain, lies False Bay, Hout Bay and the splendour of the south peninsula as far as Cape Point. To the west, you will spot Robben Island and the Atlantic Ocean breaking on the beautiful Cape West Coast, as famous for its icy water temperature as it’s mouth-watering crayfish. To the north, the Langebaan lagoon, a great kitesurfing and windsurfing venue.

Skydive Cape Town is affiliated to, and adheres to the guidelines as set out by, the Parachute Association of South Africa, which is approved by the South African Civil Aviation Authority as an Aviation Recreation Organisation. (CAA/ARO/0004). We have been in operation at the current location since 2000 and, prior to that, in Stellenbosch for 20 years. Our management and staff are committed to upholding the highest safety standards. All our tandem masters are internationally qualified and we use only equipment imported from one of the most reputable tandem equipment manufacturers in the USA. Equipment is maintained to the highest standards. We have access to 2 Cessna aircraft. All skydives are done from 9000ft (2.74km) above ground level.
We provide all operational gear including goggles to wear during the skydive including goggles that fit over spectacles.
A branded “Skydive Cape Town” USB flash drive is supplied with the camera option and contains both your HD video and stills pictures. You are able to view your skydive before leaving the airfield.

Aim to arrive at or just before your booked time.
This is an individual tandem skydiving experience and the configuration of loads depends on size, weight and available instructors. We will try our best to configure loads to accommodate special requests and or to keep people together but we cannot guarantee any seating arrangements.
Please allow 2 to 3 hours from arrival time to allow for any possible weather or air traffic control holds.
A tandem jump requires general good health. Age, history of major illness, injuries or operations may exclude participation – ask your doctor if in doubt. You must be able to lift and hold your legs aloft prior to and during the parachute landing.
The maximum weight for a tandem passenger is 100kg (220lbs/15.75 stone). Please note that this is the absolute maximum permissible weight. Passengers are weighed on arrival to facilitate loading of the aircraft.
Parental consent is required for passengers under the age of 18. A signed letter brought with on the day or an email from the parent to bookings@skydivecapetown.co.za will suffice.
There is a minimum weight requirement of 35kg (77lbs/ 5.5 stone)
Wear comfortable clothes, e.g. jeans/pants or shorts and a t-shirt or sweatshirt and well fitting, lace-up type shoes, with no heels, hooks or snag points.
Contact lenses and/or spectacles can be worn as normal. We provide goggles to wear during the skydive including goggles that fit over spectacles.
Please note that you will not be permitted to take any cameras, cell phones or other loose objects on the aircraft or the skydive.
It was a date day for my husband and I and what better way to spend by jumping out a plane! Everything ran so smoothly, my instructor Henco was really chill and explained everything well and I didn't feel nervous for even a second. Jan was also just a really great guy and knew his stuff. Best thing was to add the video and pics package to capture the experience. I now want to jump out more and more planes... I highly recommend Skydive Cape Town for first time jumpers especially! Ahhhh!!!! What a mind-blowing, life altering experience! Skydive Cape Town were exceptional. A very special mention to Timmy who is the coolest, most professional and seasoned skydive master who ensured my first skydive was the best experience anyone could've wished for. He was calm, reassuring and explained everything brilliantly throughout and was generally the nicest, coolest guy. The experience was so exceptional that I've decided to get my AFF license.
