Notes

Port Elizabeth to Plettenberg Bay

Depart from Port Elizabeth towards Plettenberg Bay. The first stop along the way will be the “Tsitsikamma National Park”. The park covers an 80 km long stretch of coastline and is a haven to a variety of marine species and indigenous flora. The Tsitsikamma National Park boasts unique and spectacular scenery in this magical part of South Africa. The word “Tsitsikamma” hails from the Khoi language meaning place of much water. Probably referring to the clear water of the Tsitsikamma River. On arrival we set off on an Kayaking adventure up this crystal clear river, learning more about this unique ecosystem. Further up the river, we transfer from a kayak to lilo and head further up the river before stopping for a swim. Afterwards a short hike awaits us before moving on to Plettenberg Bay for our overnight stop.

Saturday: Plettenberg Bay to Sedgefield

After an early start to the day the next adventure takes place at the Robberg Pennisula. A beautiful hike around this natural icon awaits us. Spot some whales, dolphins and seals, or just enjoy the endless views. After the hike we have lunch before moving on to our next destination “Sedgefield”, the first “Slow Town” in Africa. Sedgefield is an undiscovered paradise boasting a 13km long pristine beach. The afternoon can be spent surfing, learning to SUP or paragliding.

Sunday: Sedgefield to Port Elizabeth

This is an optional activity day. Optional activities include: Paragliding, wake boarding, snorkeling, ocean safaris, sky diving or bungy jumping the Bloukraans bridge – the world’s highest commercial bungy bridge! This day needs to be pre-arranged with the guide as these activities are either weather or time dependent. Once activities have ended we will return to Port Elizabeth where the tour will end.

Activities included: Tsitsikamma National Park Kayaking and Lilo experience, Robberg Peninsula Hike

Customer Reviews

This 3 day guided tour was the start of my trip through South Africa. I could not have had a better landing in the country. Freddy drove and guided me to beautiful places like Tsitsikamma and Robberg Peninsula and was open to cocreate the itinerary. It was a nice adventure to take the Alfred's pass from Knysna to Uniondale and on to My destination in the Karoo We had lovely, open and insightful exchanges about the places, history and our lives. - Petra
