The approximately 1 hour-long meander along the river, flanked by indigenous Breede River Yellowwood and Wild Olive trees teeming with a variety of bird species, sets the scene for a leisurely riverside experience. The 50 minute river cruise comes at a mere R100 for adults and R30 for children between 3 and 12 years. Babies are welcome too. Kids below the age of 3 are free of charge.

The boat departs daily at various times depending on reservations.
Thereafter there will be trips hourly depending on bookings. Advanced bookings essential. Check-in 45 mins. prior to departure.

Hi Viljoensdrift, Thank you very much, think this was my 4th of 5th time on the cruise. In years gone by I par-timed as an accredited and registered tour guide, with my own 16 seater bus. So I have on many occasions brought visitors and tourists to Viljoensdrift, both separate and during the Wacky Wine festival, my favorite's used to be Klipdrift and Viljoensdrift. So much so, that as part of my "package deal", every year I used to purchase the first sitting at Klipdrift tasting, with Viljoensdrift being my next port of call. Back to our most recent River Cruise experience, I took my family, spent +-R1k between cruise tickets and the shop, the experience was worth every cent. Thank you - Anthony
The boat experience was very great and enjoyable. We shall had very good weather. The shop assistance was disappointing. We knocked and shouted "Hello" several times. We eventually had to go behind them counter to the back to see that 4 staff members were in hearing distance of us, but just chatting together ignoring the customers. We would think, if there was good communication in the business, the shop staff should be aware of a group coming to the boat trip and available at front of shop. - HEINRICH
